Love that this is a series! For some reason a switch flipped in my head and now I can’t get enough of this game!

The undead are such a weird faction in this - I'm not sure how they worked in the original Warhammer Fantasy game, but here they're basically entirely based around the moral mechanic. Their stats are all awful, so they constantly lose match ups against equivalent units. But they never route, and if you have a big enough blob of them, the 1d3 crumble is irrelevant. So all you have to do is survive 3 or 4 rounds until your opponent whiffs all their rolls, loses by 3 or 4 points and morales out. It feels super scuffed at first though, because it feels like you're just suiciding your troops into unwinnable fights, and then a few rounds later, despite all the combats going terribly all game, you just kinda win by sheer attrition.

I generally skip to gameplay so maybe that's how people miss whatever announcement you made hope that helps.

The staff the goblin shaman has in this game is hilariously similar to the goblin shaman plastic kits staff for warhammer fantasy. 💀

Impressed that an Elf sailed across the world to declare war on your ally in order to attack you. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. Why even pretend to go to war with N'kari?

This game is so interesting, I actually went ahead and got it on steam now lol. Its really cool your giving these smaller games a try once in awhile.

Yeah, that threw me off at first, the fact that the scale of combat resolution doesn't impact crumbling. In Old World (which I believe is the same as Warhammer Fantasy Battle was), they would lose one wound per point of difference in the combat resolution, meaning that stacking modifiers with flanks and rear charges help quite a bit.

Don't really need the heavy armor so much on a unit with the damage save reroll blessing, certainly not a priority anyway

Gotta laugh at not being able to recruit those Exalted Pink Horrors. Such an MA moment. Granted, they shouldn't have been on the list, but you would have only been able to get one unit anyway, because they cost 72 loyalty.

The thing with the Lizardmen is that they can have just one army and be horribly outnumbered by their enemies and still outright slaughter them. Their warriors, magic, and war beasts are just top tier.

On AI pathing. We used to.use way point systems for viability of positioning. I have no idea how the do it in TWH3, but waypoints are added during map design stages. With a decent waypoint system, 3rd party maps can easily be created for a product, extending the life of a product and extending the user's playtime.

Davinci Pro Resolve is super good(can be complex, but good) free, and has soo many YT tutorials. So many features in the free version there is no need to upgrade to a paid version. Obviously, avoid Premiere. I would not trust them with a bargepole. Even if that was not the case, Resolve is super good. Also, you can track with Rimworld's camera + mod, though it can be a little late to do that at the editing stage :) Over 7000 hours in Rimworld. I may have a minor addiction. The most recent Anomaly dlc was good, but disappointing by Ludeon standards. I am 100 ish hours in TWH 3 and finding myself shouting at the screen way too much. "It's a soddin' gate !! Just walk through it !!"

Now they need to add renaming so we can get some Graeme's :D

I think Boar Boyz really suffered from CA insisting to balance unit stats for both Single Player and Multiplayer. I remember them being insanely good and then still good in Multiplayer. They were the Cav to use.

I am absolutely loving this. This is such a throwback to my teenage years, when I was first introduced to Warhammer.

The Lord and his Retinue killed 43 undead and lost 1 guy.

Definitely would love to see more of this. Looks like it’s a pretty solid 2 episodes per race and there’s lots of replayability with the different units and challenges.

Black Coach with a Scarecrow Banner, now that would be a "Terrifying Unit".

That reroll damage save blessing is awesome. I ended up with an Orc Boss on a wyvern which had 6 defense and 6 wounds in my dead army. Gave the blessing to him and 90% of the time he was 2+ to avoid damage with a reroll. He was truly terrifying because every upgrade I could give him could just go to attack since he was almost impossible to hurt.

In my own headcanon the black coach has Isabellas father inside, writhing and trying to escape but never will. And Vlad and Isabella just take him along just for the laughs.

The dlc race was 14 bucks where I'm from lol. I'd get all of them if it was 5 bucks. Gotta wait end of the month.

This game is addicting. Played as undead and now playing as elves.

Also, as I'm watching the video now I agree it's weird that charging fleeing units is just flatly a pure negative. In addition, if their army morale is at "routing this turn" you also want to avoid engaging any of them because they're going to rout anyway and you get nothing whatsoever for killing enemies, so it's a pure negative. Definitely a strange choice of rules.

Since main game is free, i dont mind 5dollar race pack. Also put few hours into it as dwarfs and dead and it is amazing. I truly didnt expect this type of game would interest me

This is actually something I've been looking for for a while now: a video game turn-based Rank'n'Flank (preferably fantasy). Alternating Activations is just icing on the cake!

Just to note for mages (haven't watched this video yet) but Hex of Ruin is HILARIOUSLY overpowered. It is the most powerful ability in the game by a wide, wide, wide, wide, wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide mile.

About the non-fantasy TW games since MA mentioned them, while I do love Warhammer and play it the most I found myself really enjoying Three Kingdoms and Troy a ton. For Troy it got more fun once the Mythological units were added because it added a fun side element to the game which mixed things up nicely and Three Kingdoms was great but I hate how fast they ended the DLC support for that game which if that's a complaint means it must have been fun at least to me anyway.

Bro biggest mistake your making is by charging a already routing enemy there for taking extra damage on your units whe n the opponent's units are already out of the battle.

Obviously, this type of thing is something you've been doing for a fair while now, and you do you it is what it is. And i get you put this episode out to garner interest to get more people on the old patreon, but (i know the but had come) i saw this, and i got excited to watch it but then i found out the rest was locked behind a pay wall and that was a bit of a bummer, and i fully understand that you have a family and need to earn money so i dont have an issue with this whatsoever just to make that clear, id just rather not see the video come up and and get excited for something thats a long ways away, again i know you gotta make money and all that jazz this is just my 2 cents which you totally never asked for haha so i will kindly and politely fuck off. (Full disclosure i own the game and play it regularly. i just like watching yours and others' content on the game)

While Mortars don't need to move, to get a shot, Mortars on War Wagons: can get away if getting attacked, can get under defences in ambushes, If they rout and then rally, they already have mortars, no need for crew to get in danger, just to pick up artillery, also can get to a defensible possition, they can get there.

Dark Elves are much beater then the rest: Don't run away and shoot, Like to ride on raptors, Stupid Sexy Snakes, Goth Jennifer Lawrence, she doesn't need artillery, she has spells. PS: Remember that you can save your characters, so they can reappear in another campaign.

I’m still waiting for the rest of the Malakai campaign. It is after all the only one I wanted to see when the dlc came out.
